I TRIED...

Now that all is said and done, twenty years of dieting didn't work and neither did surgery.  After six weeks of hard recovery (still not done) and thousands of dollars, I still look like the beefy one in the family photo.  The proof is in the picture, folks.  So this is it.  I will no longer focus on my weight.  I'm destined to be tubby and thats just the way it is.  I will still try to eat healthy because I don't want to be weak and full of disease, I know people like that and its pitiful.  I will exercise as often as I can because thats how you keep the body strong, but I will never step on a scale again.  I will never measure my circumference, and I will never worry about how I measure up to the rest of the crowd.  Maybe that's what the Lord has been trying to teach me all along--Who knows--I've never been a quick study and I usually stumble onto the answers rather than discover them, but there it is.

One thing in my favor though, at least I tried.

Uh...Helloooo. Me and Patti are fatter than you. It's just that you are more judgemental of yourself than others. Although I have to say, focusing on health rather than weight is a good idea. I've gained most of my weight back and now I have to lose it again...and again...and again...

You need to change my blog to the other one on your blogroll.

This is just silly. I have professional pictures of you at the wedding and you look beautiful. Did your surgery take you to a size 2? No. Are you meant to be a 2? No. But that doesn't make you any less beautiful. I love and always have for the way you are. Beautiful inside and out.

I forgot to add, I used your cookbook a couple of weeks ago, I made the stuffed peppers. John loved them!
