GOING GRAY

The idea is to NEVER have to color my hair again.  Eventually.  It will be a long hard road, but I'm going to try to let my hair grow out to it's natural color, whatever that may be.  Phase one; I got heavy highlights to blend in with the gray roots so I could continue to grow the roots out without looking like a skunk.  Because my hair was so dark, the highlights are not as dramatic as I had hoped, but they will lighten up with each washing and I could always do one more highlight process to lighten it up more.  When I came home, my 7 yr. old son said my hair scared him.  Kids!

I think it looks great. Did you also get it cut? The style looks a little different but very flattering on you. Good luck with going back to your "roots" I'm doing the same thing and while it may not be quite as hard as your endeavor it is a hard road nonetheless.

You look good. I on the other hand would look awful with gray hair and just look old and haggard. Maybe someday, but not now. Good luck.
