YEP! IT'S MONDAY ALL RIGHT.

I got the kids off for their first day of school and headed to the gym.  This trip would kick off my back to school celebrations, but I found myself entering the gym with less than adequate enthusiasm.  Still, I knew I needed to exercise so I gave it the old college try.

I started off on the bike for a warm up while I waited for the Pilates class to start.  Then I did some abs machines and finally, a nice relaxing mat pilates class.  Too relaxing, in fact.  The truth is, it was so boring I wanted to poke searing hot nails into my brain just to stop the torturous monotony.  Instead, I got up and walked out fifteen minutes into the class.  I HATE pilates.  Good to know.

I have been unusually tired lately, so after putting a turkey in the roaster, I laid on the couch for a short nap, and if I have the energy later, I'm going to try the kickboxing class this evening.  I'll have to let you know how that goes, but all in all, I'd say I probably worked off my Luna bar breakfast.

I really can't claim more than a few hundred burned calories for this morning's effort.  Sorry to disappoint, but that doesn't mean you don't have to try too.  You need at least a half hour of exercise to match me.

Okay, I went to the kickboxing class and it wasn't bad.  I can tell it's going to be hard on the knees, and I'm not just saying that because I looked like an epileptic duck.  I really don't think it's my sport.  So far the spin class is the best bang for the buck, no stress on any part of the body, except the mind.  I really have to talk myself into going and then into staying there.  Ik.  482 calories burned.

With so many ways to exercise it's nice to know which ones do not suit you. Now you can just check those off the list and keep going till you find one that you enjoy. I'm still not sure it's possible to enjoy exercising. I'm told it is, but I think that is a fairy tale.

As long as you did 30 minutes consider yourself good. That's my theory.
