You know, we may not be able to travel back in time, but we can start each day with a clean slate regardless of the mistakes we made yesterday. Kind of like hitting redial on the telephone. Even though we dialed a number for success yesterday and nobody answered--causing us to give in to the rich dark chocolate we forgot about until we opened our secret stash drawer, that doesn't mean we can't dial the number for success again today. Just hit redial. With a single touch, new hope, and the miracle of technology, the success we hope to achieve could be ours for the taking.
Stop rolling your eyes, I'm serious. Sometimes we have one bad day, which turns into two, which turns into three, and so on. Our resolve begins to dissolve and our hope for success begins to fade, but it doesn't have to be that way. Stop the madness. When you have a bad day...or two...or three...or four... Just hit redial. Forget about the mistakes you made yesterday. Yes, they happened, you can't do anything about that now, but you can throw away the leftover chocolate triple layer cake thats taunting you from the dark recesses of the refrigerator... You can say no to the unsupportive son or daughter or husband who wants something decadent, even though you've just started a 12 step program to save your life. You can put away the mixer that holds so many fond memories of cookie dough and soft yeasty bread. You can stay off the scale for the next couple of weeks while you heal and regroup. It's like I told you... Just hit redial. The day is new with no mistakes in it.
