I'M GOING TO MAKE A RARE CONFESSION:

A couple of weeks ago I had a particularly bad weekend, food wise--I'm talking worse than usual. I felt so horrible. The kind of horrible that makes you want to make changes.

Anyway, in a rare moment of regret and humility, I asked the Lord to apply the atonement and forgive me, not just for making wrong choices, but to forgive the debt of the affects of those choices. I was most astonished to find that I didn't gain an ounce from that experience.

Now, every time I want to eat badly, I think about the debt the Lord paid for me and it helps me to make better choices.

Last nights experience was a temporary slip up and I'm going to try hard not to let that happen again, but I wanted you to know that prayers are answered, miracles happen, and hearts can be changed. I love the Lord and I know he loves me. Just thought you should know.

Wow. I would never have thought of asking for the affects of choices to be forgiven. That's awesome. I have had the same experience also, though without asking for it. My experience too was 3-4 weeks ago. I must be special to Him.

You made me want to start my own book. It will take a while, but it's fun building it. Thanks for the inspiration.
